Istar 21 – Business Association for Improving the Cooperation Promotion and Tourism development in the Podunavlje region

1st stage, industrial sector: Hospitality and Tourism

Cluster „Istar 21” is the association of business entities operating in the tourism field, and institutions/organizations interested in tourism development in Danube region. This cluster was established in 2008 and it covers the entire area of Danube region in Serbia.


The objective of the cluster is gathering tourist and other subjects in order to create the unique tourist product, that covers the area along the whole stream of the Danube in Serbia and is attractive both for national and international market. The aim of every cluster member is the improvement of the tourist service, promotion through the joint presentations, inclusion of new members and the increase of touristic income and profit of every member.

 

Cluster activities:

  • Development of joint tourist product of "Istar 21" cluster.
  • Promotion of the cluster and its members on domestic and international fairs.
  • Development of "Istar 21" website.
  • Creation of "Istar 21" data base.
  • Organization of relevant educational programs for cluster members for the purpose of setting standards and improving the quality of offered services.
