The Agency for Wood – Serbian Wood Processing Cluster

2nd stage, industrial sector: Forest Products

The Agency for Wood – Serbian Wood Processing business cluster was established in 2005. It includes companies involved in production, trade and related services, Faculties of Forestry, Architecture, Civil Engineering and Economics from the University of Belgrade, the Institute for Testing Materials, the Serbian Association of Vocational Schools for Wood Processing, etc.


Cluster’s objective is to increase the competitiveness and export potential of wood processing and furniture industry in the Republic of Serbia.

 

Cluster activities:

  • Cluster promotion by participating at the international fairs, conferences, domestic and international professional congresses and workshops.
  • "Innovative Wood Processing Enterprise" project, implemented in three cluster companies, as a Pilot, and students and apprentices contest on furniture design, organized last three consecutive years.
  • „Cluster – DP” information system created.
  • Regional Conference on Wood Processing Clusters organized in Belgrade.
  • Central and Southeastern Europe Network of Wood Processing Clusters Established; the Agency for Wood currently presides the Network.
