The First Cluster for Plastics and Packaging – ЈАТО

2nd stage, industrial sector: Plastics

Cluster ЈАТО is a non-profit association involving companies processing plastic, packaging producers and recycling centers that share the same goal which is to offer a better developed and a higher quality product to the market than the competition is able to.It was established in June of 2004 on the territory of Vojvodina.


Cluster’s objective is to create a more efficient and rational operation pattern through standardizing production and creating quality and highly competitive products for both domestic and foreign markets.

 

Cluster activities:

  • Establishment and development of cooperation with the Italian industrial districts.
  • Participation in the TIMEA project in the field of environmental protection as a part of the European TEMPUS program aiming to prepare various institutions for new technologies in preserving and protecting the environment. Institutions partaking in this project’s realization are the Technological Faculty from Vienna and Technical Science Faculties from Novi Sad, Bratislava, Kosice, Ljubljana and Belgrade.
  • Establishment of cooperation with the first Hungarian cluster for OMNIPACK packaging technologies and participation in the project of applying biopolymers in producing self-degrading foils and bags.
  • To include the cluster in the European Regional Cooperation Network as a part of the DKMT Euro-region and to enter European markets.
