Approved project for construction of European Laboratory for EMC

Institute Mihailo Pupin and its partners ICT cluster Net, Electrical Engineering Faculty in Belgrade and the Regional Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Belgrade, was granted funding from the EU funds for the project "Building the Serbian infrastructure quality Electromagnetic Compatibility - EMC Serbia ".

Agreement regarding the project with the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia was signed on 18 February 2011. The total project value is 1,011,783 EUR, of which the European Union funds 908.679 EUR. The project will last 20 months. The project was approved under the Regional Socio-Economic Development Programme 2 (RSEDP2) grant scheme.

The project "EMC Serbia" aim is to enable the performance of EMC testing of electronic products in Serbia, in accordance with European standards by building the appropriate infrastructure. The achievement of this aim will contribute to improving the ICT industry in Serbia, the reduction of unemployment and increasing competitiveness of other industrial sectors. The end result is to build a laboratory for testing, through which will significantly reduce the costs of testing, facilitate the export of Serbian goods to the EU market and reduce the need for testing in other countries.
